New Zealand beat West Indies by D/L method in first T20

New Zealand beat West Indies by 12 runs via the Duckworth/Lewis method in the first T20 match in Rousseau, Dominica on Saturday.

In the rain affected match, West Indies scored 132-8 off 18-overs in the reduced over encounter after being sent in to back.

Andre Fletcher topscored with 52 and Darren Bravo 30 against two wickets each for Tim Southee, Trent Boult and Corey Anderson.

New Zealand’s revised target was 106 off 15 overs, and they were 117-4 when the end came.

Skipper Brendon McCullum led the way with 40 and Ross Taylor 28 against Darren Sammy 3-22.
