Major players in debit/credit card cloning scam captured

Three men said to be major players in the cloning of  debt and credit cards, have been captured by the Organised Crime Investigation Division (OCID)

The men were arrested during an operation last Friday in Portmore, St Catherine.
They were reportedly caught installing a camera and a skimming device, at an Automated Banking Machine.

More than a dozen cloned cards and other devices were allegedly found in their possession. Shamari Davis, who is the alleged ring leader; Allan Sylvester and Andre Dowdie, were refused bail when they appeared in the Half-Way-Tree Criminal Court on Friday.

They are scheduled to return on August 20.

Investigators say the men are linked to incidents across the country, in which millions of  dollars have been fleeced from the accounts of persons using ABMs.
