Fly Jamaica's CEO says airline doing well

Fly Jamaica’s Chief Executive Officer, Captain Paul Reece, says the airline continues to flourish despite having some maintenance issues that have led to flight delays.

Reece told members of a Rotary Club on Thursday that Fly Jamaica’s reputation received a battering over the last few months due to flight delays which have left passengers seething.

However he defended the company’s action amid complaints and made reference to the Boeing 767 plane, which was acquired by the airline last month increasing its fleet complement to two.

He said so far it has been a challenge getting the plane certified to operate commercially.
