Twelve injured in motor vehicle accident

Again there is an appeal from the police to road users, especially public passenger bus drivers to be mindful of how they drive on the nation’s road, THE WEEKEND STAR understands.

This, follows a motor vehicle accident yesterday morning on Spanish Town Road, St Andrew, in which 12 people were injured, some of whom received treatment at hospital.

Information reaching THE WEEKEND STAR is that two coaster buses were travelling along the busy thoroughfare towards Three Miles when one of the bus drivers attempted to overtake the other.

This resulted in a collision as one of the buses ran into the rear of the other.

An officer from the St Andrew South Traffic Department confirmed reports and told our news team that the matter is being investigated.

The officer also implored drivers to be extra careful while using the road.
