Some years ago, a bit of ridicule might have come his way when he rolled out his red carpet at parties, but now the lanky dancehall artiste Chi Ching Ching can smile at his recent successes.
In recent times, he has been creating waves with his song, Way Up Stay, which also has a remixed version with Popcaan and Beenie Man. Chi Ching Ching was also featured on the remix of rapper Lil Jon’s popular Turn Down For What.
Based on how the tides have turned in his favour, Chi Ching says he is extremely grateful. “Mi haffi give thanks fi weh mi a come from. Mi a come from dancing to slang to carpet, and now mi deh a song. The change is real and the only direction is up,”? he told The STAR.

“Everybody happy fi mi. Anybody weh nuh happy fi mi is who nuh know weh mi a come from. Everybody know when mi get mi first flight go Antigua and when mi get mi first flight go England and buy a car when mi come back,”? he told The STAR.
