Milverton Simpson, a farmer from Potsdam near Munro College in St Elizabeth, died in a fire early Tuesday.
Simpson who was in his mid-50s, was clearing a plot of land with fire, for farming, when the blaze got out of control.
Fire personnel belive he was overcome by smoke, which eventually led to his death.
