KINGSTON, Jamaica — Michael Seaton and Donjay Smith scored second-half goals to help Jamaica edge Cuba 2-1 at the Drewsland Stadium Saturday night, as both teams prepared for the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship set to begin here next week.

Both teams appeared tentative in the first half, but the pace picked up after Seaton, who is capped several times for the senior team, headed in Junior Flemmings’ left-sided cross in the 51st minute.

With Cuba pressing for the equaliser, Jamaica got their second when the fleet-footed Martin Davis slid a pass for fellow substitute Smith to rifle a grounder into the far corner of the goal in minute 89.

In the first minute of time added, the plucky Cubans pulled back up a goal when Issam Lartiga rolled home. The teams meet again in another Friendly game on Monday. Kick-off is set for 5:00 pm at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.
