A young man who is accused of assaulting a teenage girl because her skirt tail accidentally caught him in the face, is to return to court with his parent on July 25.
Pleading guilty in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court to assault occasioning bodily harm is 18-year-old Stephen ‘Special’ Hoffman, of a Water Lane, Kingston address.
According to reports, the complainant was climbing the staircase in her home while the accused was sitting on the stairs with a group of friends. While the girl was passing Hoffman allegedly stated, “Hey gyal mine yuh mek yuh skirt tail ketch me.”
An argument developed and the accused allegedly used his right hand to punch the complainant in her left eye, causing it to become swollen.
