Tyler Mason ran an area record 13.05 in the men’s 110 meter hurdles but had to settle for silver, Jamaica’s first medal at the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships in Eugene Oregon.
Mason, the Jamaica College athlete was beaten by France’s Wilheim Belocian who became the first junior to break the 13 second barrier, with 12.99 seconds.
Mason also eclipsed the Jamaican national junior record of 13.24, set by Omar McLeod last year.
