A former senior official of the National Works Agency (NWA) and his brother, an Inspector of Police, remain in custody as the Major Organised and Anti-Corruption Task Force (MOCA) continues its probe into a major fraud and conspiracy racket.
The former NWA executive and two directors of his company were nabbed early Friday during MOCA-led operations which stretched to the eastern Portland where his brother was held.
The police also went to five locations in the Corporate Area.
The former NWA official and his alleged co-conspirators, who include two electrical engineers and a manager are scheduled to be interviewed,following which they will be charged.
According to MOCA, the operations resulted from investigations into suspected cases of forgery and conspiracy which began several months ago.
The offices of the former NWA executive was searched by investigators.
He’s being held at the Half-Way-Tree Police lock-up.
