MUSTIQUE, the Grenadines, Friday July 25, 2014 – British pop star Cheryl Cole’s undercover wedding to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini has sparked a massive surge in prospective vacationers searching for the couple’s idyllic wedding and honeymoon location.
The singer recently exchanged vows with the handsome Frenchman in a secret ceremony at Mustique’s exclusive Cotton House resort.
When news of the covert Caribbean wedding broke, TripAdvisor reported a 648 percent surge in the number of travellers in Britain alone searching for the tiny island on the following two days compared with the previous week.

What’s more, the travel website revealed a staggering 5,667 percent increase in the number of people looking for Macaroni Beach, the unspoilt white sand beach on which the nuptials are believed to have taken place.
The Cotton House, a world renowned boutique hotel set in lush tropical gardens overlooking the ocean, was once a cotton warehouse, and is Mustique’s oldest building.
It’s thought that the bridal couple rented the resort’s most luxurious private villa, which overlooks Macaroni Beach and is said to come with a price tag of about £11,000 a week.
Amenities are said to include a private bar, two plunge pools, a cinema and a stunning 49ft pool.
The complement of private staff is thought to include a butler, chef, housekeeper and gardener, to ensure guests every need is met.
According to a review on TripAdvisor: “The Cotton House has blown everything else away. Here is why – it has history (the museum, Sugar Mill, historic Cotton House), unbelievable natural beauty (it is set on a horseshoe beach which also happens to double as a bird sanctuary), the ability to explore and hands down has the best people working there.”
Another reviewer wrote: “Whether in the rooms, the restaurant, the bar, or on the beach, the service is first class. The location couldn’t really be better. White sandy beach, spectacular views and great sunsets.”
