RJR News has received word that a member of the Police Federation has been taken into custody in connection with a reported case of assault. Sources say the constable was held by a team assigned to the St. Catherine South Police Division.
The alleged incident is believed to have occurred in Portmore. It’s understood that the complainant is alleging that the constable made certain demands. When they were refused the cop reportedly assaulted him with his service pistol.
A complaint was filed and the constable taken into custody. Investigators awaiting a ruling from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
