Tropical Storm Dorian weakens, moving rapidly westward

KINGSTON, Jamaica —At 4:00 pm Friday the centre of Tropical Storm Dorian was located near Latitude 17.8 degrees north and Longitude 45.8 degrees west or about 1830 kilometres east of the northern Leeward Islands.Dorian is moving towards the west near 35 kilometres per hour and this general motion is expected to continue for the next 48 hours, the National Meteorological Office reported.Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 75 km/h, with higher gusts. Satellite images show that Dorian is disorganised.
