Monday, August 12, 2013 | 7:14 PMKINGSTON, Jamaica — Tuesday August 13 is the final day in a round of public consultations on the Tobacco Control Regulations, the Ministry of Health says.The ministry in a release Monday said that the public may contact the “Tobacco Control Task Force and Tobacco Control Command Centre” with their comments. The unit was recently set up my Health Minister Dr Fenton Ferguson to “monitor public sentiment and to allow members of the public to obtain information and clarification on matters concerning the Tobacco Regulations and the effects of tobacco exposure on health,” the release said.Members of the public may call the ministry’s tobacco hotline at 537-6885; 967-0306 or email huttonv@moh.gov.jm and adrianb@serha.gov.jm.
