Friday, August 09, 2013The article, under the headline “Citi accepting submissions for Caribbean micro-entrepreneurship awards”, published in last week’s Caribbean Business Report, incorrectly gave the impression that the objectives of the nominees should be raising awareness about microfinance in the Caribbean, building consciousness on the role micro-entrepreneurs play in their local economies, and developing the next generation of microfinance institutions. Those objectives should have actually been attributed to the awards programme, the 2013 Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards for the Caribbean. Additionally, the awards are to be submitted to the Caribbean Microfinance Alliance and not to Citi directly.
