Pakistan/Windies third ODI ends in a tie

CASTRIES, St Lucia (CMC) — The third ODI between West Indies and Pakistan ended in a tie at the Beausejour stadium on Friday. In a nailbiting finish the WI needed 15 runs for victory in the last over with tail-enders Jason Holder and Kemar Roach at the crease.Holder, with nine runs required to win from two balls, hit a six then scampered two to tie the scores.West Indies scored 229 for nine off 50 overs, replying to Pakistan’s 229 for six off 50 overs.Lendl Simmons top scored with 75 for the West Indies.Scores: Pakistan — 229/6 off 50 overs – (Misbah-ul-Haq 75, Umar Akmal 40 not out, Wahab Riaz 19 not out, Haris Sohail 26; Jason Holder 2/40, DJ Bravo 2/50) West Indies — 229/9 off 50 overs – (Lendl Simmons 75, Marlon Samuels 46, Jason Holder not out 19; Junaid Khan 3/54, Saeed Ajmal 3/ 36)The fourth ODI is scheduled for July 21 and the fifth on July 24, both in St Lucia.
