Farmer accused of stealing from other man’s farm

KINGSTON, Jamaica—A farmer is to be tried in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on November 4 on a charge of praedial larceny.

The date was set when farmer Omar Brown appeared in court on Wednesday. He pleaded not guilty and his bail was extended.

Brown was reportedly caught by the complainant before daybreak, on September 23, uprooting scallion from his St Andrew farm.

On Wednesday, the court ordered that Brown be fingerprinted.
