KINGSTON, Jamaica — Minister of Education Ronald Thwaites has joined the educational fraternity in paying tribute to veteran educator Eric Frater, who passed away on Friday, October 3.
The minister noted in a release that Frater’s dedication to uplifting young people was exemplified by his presence at the University of Technology’s Council meeting last Monday.
Frater taught at several secondary schools and also at the University of the West Indies. He also served with distinction as Principal of Rusea’s High School in Hanover.
“Eric’s penetrating intellect and his unfailing graciousness gave him valuable skills in educational administration,” Thwaites said. “We celebrate the long life of a good and loyal Jamaican. May his soul rest in peace.”?
