Dancehall-pop sensation K’Coneil has been busy recording new material and preparing for his upcoming performance in New York alongside Sanchez, Coco Tea, Lady Saw, and others. According to the artiste, it’s an honour to be rubbing shoulders with veteran reggae/dancehall artistes.
“I am honoured to be a part of this major line-up, and I tell all my fans to come out early, as you will get a performance you will never forget,” he told The STAR.
The event will be held on Sunday, February 8 at the Resort Casino in Queens, New York. Also booked for the show are Richie Stephens and Freddie Jackson.
Positive responses
K’Coneil recently launched his YouTube VEVO profile and also used the opportunity to premiere the music video for his single, Gyal A You. The single has been receiving positive responses in New York and is gradually making its way into the playlists of urban stations.
The video was filmed in Miami by Donsville group and is intended to evoke a summer-time vibe. The artiste is also promoting another single called Real Talk, an effort dedicated to his late grandmother.
“Work hard for your ting dem, no worry what people say. Anybody wah vex, nuh worry wah dem say, and don’t badmind people tings and don’t red eye people”, he said, echoing the sentiments of his grandmother.
