That extra 10% makes all the difference. A while ago I read a book called: “Live Life First Class”, in the opening pages a porter doing what some may consider a menial job was showing someone where to stand on the platform to wait for the fist class carriage. He loved his job and because he made that extra 10% commitment he had learnt exactly where all the trains carriages would stop and could help travellers. Because of the extra effort he enjoyed his job and therefore his life.
How easy it is to feel jaded if you feel you are not important, if you give a bare-minimum in your job and your life, living you life more dead than alive! Make a decision to live your live with passion, enjoy every moment by throwing yourself whole-heartedly into the tasks in hand.
A contestant on the “Bake Off” this week, said everything she cooks she cooks with love knowing it gives pleasure, what a lovely thought. Also this week a youngster didn’t think he had many friends and his parents made a comment on social media, he has been inundated with birthday cards from all over the world, hundreds of people have responded!
So give life a generous helping of dedication in all you do and reap the benefits available. Always do the best you can, live in the moment, put love and care into everything you do and feel the difference it makes.
Let nothing be too much effort, give of your best and you will be surprised how much brighter you feel. Life will take on a new meaning, you will have more energy and will achieve more.
Think of ways you can enrich your life, maybe start a new hobby, or look for a job you find more satisfying or start a hobby business. Unlock forgotten dreams and find a way to achieve them.
