NEGRIL, Westmoreland—The Negril Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a pedestrian on the Norman Manley Boulevard in Westmoreland on Sunday.
Two people were also injured during the incident.
Dead is 46-year-old Guy Watson, of Broughton district in the parish.
Information received is that about 4:00 am the driver of a Nissan Tida motorcar, with a passenger aboard, allegedly lost control of the vehicle and hit Watson who was walking along the roadway; the vehicle then collided into a utility pole.
The police were summoned and on their arrival Watson, the driver of the motorcar and the passenger were taken to hospital where Watson was pronounced dead, while the driver and the passenger were admitted.
