Thursday, September 12, 2013 | 10:09 AMWESTMORELAND, Jamaica — An elderly man died after he was hit from his bicycle by a motor car in Amity, Westmoreland Wednesday evening.Dead is 72-year-old Ezekiel Vernon of Morant Lane, Hartford district in the parish.Reports from the Whithorn Police are that about 7:00 pm, Vernon was riding his bicycle in the vicinity of the Amity crossing when he was allegedly hit from behind by a Toyota Corolla motor car, which did not stop. Vernon died on the spot.The police are now searching for the driver of the motor car that hit Vernon.
