Unidentified body found with gunshot wounds

Detectives attached to the Area One Major Investigation Taskforce (MIT) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a male that was found with gunshot wounds in Spring Garden, St James on Monday.

The body is of brown complexion, medium build and about 180 centimetres (5 feet 11 inches) long. It was clad in a red T-shirt with “AEROPOSTALE” printed on the front, two grey “Calvin Klein” underpants, blue jeans pants and a pair of black Clarks shoes.

Reports are that about 8:15 p.m., residents heard explosions and summoned the police. On their arrival, the body was seen on the roadway. The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue.

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The police are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified man who was found in the sea in the vicinity of the Causeway in Kingston Saturday afternoon.

Reports from the Hunts Bay Police are that about 1:45 pm passersby saw the body and summoned them. On their arrival, it was seen afloat on its back in the nude with wounds on its body.

The body is of dark complexion, slim build, about 6 feet long and is believed to be in its sixties.

It was removed to the morgue for post mortem.

The Police are asking anyone who can assist in identifying the body to contact the Hunts Bay Police at 922-6441, Crime Stop at 311, Police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
