KINGTON, Jamaica – Opposition Senator Kamina Johnson-Smith leaves her job as company secretary at LIME on Tuesday to enter private practice as an attorney-at-law.

Smith, regarded as one of the most promising and vocal young members of the current Senate, told OBSERVER ONLINE that she had taken a personal decision to resign her position at LIME to enter private practice.

The position will be filled by Rochelle Cameron, whose appointment takes effect October 1.

Johnson-Smith, a qualified attorney-at-law, has worked with LIME since 2001, and had been company secretary since 2011.
