Actress Amanda Bynes

Amanda Bynes screamed at a photographer at Gilded Lily in New York during Nylon magazine’s It Girl party.

The 28-year-old actress, who recently returned to the city following a stint in rehab, walked along the red carpet before the party, but refused to pose for pictures and instead stood with her back to the waiting photographers.

However, once she was inside the venue, a photographer tried to capture an image of her, which prompted a furious response from the actress.

A spy told the New York Post’s Page Six column: “She started screaming ‘You have to delete your photos!’Amanda was screeching and flailing and going wild, and the photographer was visibly shaken.”

The incident comes shortly after Bynes claimed she’s engaged to her 19-year-old boyfriend Caleb.

Speaking to InTouch magazine, she explained: “I am very needy for friendship and I hate men. I want to fthem, but I can now say I’m engaged, I want to be married and I want to be away from people.”

Bynes also said she hopes she and her fianc?e, who lives in Costa Mesa, California, will have lots of baby boys after they marry.

She said: “I want boys, for sure. However many I can pop out. I don’t want a gorgeous girl around. Then I [would] feel way jealous. Ew.”

The young actress appeared in court on May 24 denying the most recent charges of possessing marijuana and tossing a bong out of the window of her 36th-floor Manhattan apartment on May 23.

It seems Amanda Bynes may be struggling once again.

The actress, who had a very public breakdown and has since been doing better with the help of her parents, was arrested on Sunday after police determined she was driving under the influence, authorities said.

Bynes, 28, was stopped by a California Highway Patrol officer after she stopped in the middle of an intersection in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles around 4 a.m. on Sunday. The former child star was determined to be under the influence of an unidentified drug after being evaluated at a nearby police station, the CHP said in a statement.

The release states that Bynes, who has had a series of driving-related arrests, was cooperative but appeared disheveled when she was taken into custody.

Bynes was released hours later after posting $15,000 bail. A phone message left by The Associated Press for her criminal defense attorney, Richard Hutton, was not immediately returned.

The California Highway Patrol did not immediately return FOX411’s request for comment.

Bynes publicly struggled with health issues in 2013, and she was hospitalized for a mental evaluation last spring. She later entered a rehab facility and was released after a lengthy stay. Her parents have since been caring for her and she has been spotted taking fashion design courses at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

Once out of rehab, Bynes deleted her controversial tweets from last year, which included some vulgar messages she wrote about rapper Drake and nearly nude pictures.

Bynes remains on probation for a 2012 case filed after she clipped a Los Angeles County sheriff’s patrol car and was arrested for driving under the influence. Bynes pleaded no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving in February.

She received psychiatric treatment last year after authorities said she set a small fire in the driveway of a home in Thousand Oaks, California.

In April 2013, the former actress revealed she had shaved her head, but her recent photos show her blonde locks looking long once again.

Bynes first began acting in commercials at the age of 7 and was thrust into the limelight when she later became one of the stars of Nickelodeon’s comedy show “All That.” She then starred in Nickelodeon’s “The Amanda Show” from 1999-2002. Since then, her acting career has waned, and her last major role was in 2010’s “Easy A.” Before that she appeared in films like “What a Girl Wants” and “Hairspray.”

She has publicly stated that she has retired from acting. Her last film credit was 2010’s “Easy A,” which starred Emma Stone.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
