Stylsh putting in the hard work

‘I need to raise my game to the next level, the fans are saying that I am finding my own voice …’

Building Block Records dancehall artiste Stylysh has been working hard over the past month. She recorded a large number of new singles, including ‘No Eyewater’ on Seanizzle’s new rhythm and ‘Willing Fi Share’, on Justus Arison’s High Life rhythm.

“I have been putting in a lot of work in the studio over the past couple of weeks because I need to raise my game to the next level, the fans are saying that I am finding my own voice, discovering my own sound,” she said.

She recently recorded a new single called Prison Wife for her new label.Other upcoming projects include songs for Chase Mills Records, Building Block Records and Pushayute Records.

Stylysh has also upped her presence in the media. She has been on a promotional tear over the last couple weeks, doing interviews onMD TV, CVM’s ‘Da Wrap’, HYPE TV, RE TV and Swagg TV.

“This major promotional push has paid off because of the response I have been getting from fans in the streets. My Instagram page has over 11,000 followers and my Twitter pages have jumped as well. Plus, I am getting more spins on radio for Secret Lovers, and these new songs are going to make an impact,” she said.

She recently performed during the Bank of Jamaica’s ‘Bankers Warfare’ spinoff contest on which she was a guest judge. She also made an appearance during DJ Smurf’s weekly karaoke event in Allman Town.

There are plans to shoot a video for Prison Wife this month. The video will be directed by Marshall Artz studios.
