KINGSTON, Jamaica – Minister of Health Dr Fenton Ferguson will address the nation tonight on the chikungunya outbreak in Jamaica.
In his address, the minister will speak to various issues including partnerships forged to combat the spread of the disease, according to a release from the ministry.
The broadcast will be aired on several radio and television stations. His address will be aired on PBCJ and Love TV at 7 o’clock. CVM-TV will broadcast the message at 9:30 and TVJ at 10:30.
Radio stations s Irie, RJR and Nationwide FM will carry the address at 7 o’clock.
The Government has come under harsh criticism for its handling of the outbreak.
