JAILED entertainer Adidjah ‘Vybz Kartel’ Palmer was yesterday rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) under heavy police guard after complaining of chest pains.“He had been complaining of feeling ill for some time,” Kartel’s attorney Tom Tavares-Finson told the Jamaica Observer yesterday. “The pain in his chest became more serious and they had to take him to the hospital.”Tavares-Finson said that the artiste is now awaiting the result of tests conducted on him yesterday.“Needless to say, his family is concerned about his health,” the attorney said. The artiste is due in the Home Circuit Court today for a bail application in relation to the murder of a man, Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams, who was allegedly beaten to death at his Havendale, St Andrew, home. Kartel’s Gaza Empire stablemate Shawn ‘Shawn Storm’ Campbell and other men are charged with him regarding Williams’ death.Yesterday, Kartel’s presence at the KPH drew a massive crowd of fans who flocked to the downtown-based medical facility to get a glimpse of the artiste — his skin was bleached pale and sporting an orange shirt and blue jeans.“Have mercy, mi get to touch him,” cried out one woman, obviously moved by the sight of the artiste. “Me naw bathe again. Somebody hold me, hold me!”Another female, overcome with emotion, had to be consoled by a friend who hugged her and wiped tears from her face.“I am really happy to see him. I am so excited,” said the woman, as she stood close to the Nissan bus in which the artiste was transported to the hospital.Adidjah ‘Vybz Kartel’ Palmer being escorted from the Kingston Public Hospital, yesterday.
