BURNING KRY IMPRESSES ON US DEBUT

Burning Kry

Dancehall deejay Burning Kry made his debut performance in the United States last weekend. The MBR recording artiste performed at the event ‘All White Affair’ at Jamrock in Orlando, Florida. The event was promoted by Andre Starboyz of Starboyz Entertainment.

He described the experience as an eye-opener. “It was my first time performing outside of Jamaica and I am pleased with the reception I received. It was a good experience,” he noted in a media release.

The newcomer delivered a knockout performance which had patrons charged up to songs including Mama Money, The Prayer and Answer Certain Call.

Burning Kry, whose real name is Marlon Williams, is originally from the Caymanas Bay area. He recently teamed with singer Radijah on the Mineral Boss Records-produced single Wine Harder.

“I am bringing a new style of pop and reggae in a formation towards dancehall,” he explained.

Signed to the Caymanas Bay-based Mineral Boss Records for the past four years, he began his musical journey in 2008.

“I was born with the talent to sing and based on how my voice sounded, the fans gave me the name Burning Kry,” he explained.

He made his recording debut when he released the song Jah for Jah Vybz Records. Since then he has recorded for producers, including Trensetta Records, Brownstone Records and Campone Records.

“It’s been hard and rocky, but I do it because of the love I have for the music,” he stated.
