Jamaica out of men"s 400m hurdle final

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica is out of the men’s 400 hurdles final on Thursday after failing to progress from the semi finals Tuesday.Even with Leford Green clocking a season’s best 48.88, Annsert Whyte a personal best 49.17 and Isa Phillips a season’s best 49.28 the trio all finished out of contention.Omar Cisneros of Cuba with his world leading 47.93 in the semis heads the line up for the final with medals s expected to come from Michael Tinsley of the US, Felix Sanchez of the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico’s Javier Culson and American Kerron Clement. Completing the line up for the final scheduled for 12:00 noon Thursday (Jamaica time) are Jehue Gordon of Trinidad, Mamadou Kasse Hanne of Senegal and Serbia’s Emir Bekric.
