FOXBOROUGH, Mass. –  Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are headed to a special place where no coach or player has gone more — the Super Bowl.

They earned their trip with the second most lopsided AFC championship victory ever.

The New England Patriots dominant duo earned a sixth trip to the Super Bowl with a 45-7 wipeout of the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC championship game before a raucous, rain-soaked crowd Sunday night.

The Patriots tied Dallas and Pittsburgh for most appearances in the big game with eight.

Scoring touchdowns on their first four second-half possessions, the Patriots (14-4) moved on to face defending champion Seattle (14-4) for the NFL title on Feb. 1 in Glendale, Arizona. Belichick will face Pete Carroll, whom he replaced as Patriots coach 2000. The Seahawks beat the Green Bay Packers 28-22 in overtime in the NFC title game.

In his first year as a starter, Brady led the Patriots to a Super Bowl win in the 2001 season, starting a run of three championships in four years. Now he and Belichick have a chance for their first in 10 years.

Brady threw three touchdown passes, LeGarrette Blount ran 30 times for 148 yards and three scores and the Patriots charged away after leading just 17-7 at halftime.

With his sixth Super Bowl berth, Brady surpassed John Elway for the most by a quarterback and tied defensive lineman Mike Lodish for most by any player. Belichick’s sixth visit tied him with Don Shula’s for most by a coach.

Brady completed 23 of 35 passes for 226 yards before being replaced by Jimmy Garoppolo with 3:20 left. Brady went to the sideline where he was embraced by Belichick. Moments earlier, while sitting on the bench, Brady was shown on the video board with soaked hair. He pumped his fist in the air 12 times then slapped hands with teammates.

The biggest blowout in AFC title history was Buffalo’s 51-3 win over the Los Angeles Raiders in the 1990 season.

For Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, it was the worst game of his three-year career and the fourth rout in his four career games against the Patriots, all by at least three touchdowns. He completed 12 of 33 passes for 126 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.

He lost 43-22 in last season’s divisional playoff with Blount rushing for 166 yards and four touchdowns. And on Nov. 16, he lost 43-22 as Jonas Gray rushed for 201 yards and four touchdowns.

The Indianapolis defense was porous against the run again Sunday night. They weren’t much better against the pass.

And when Luck threw an interception that Darrelle Revis late in the third quarter, Blount ran 13 yards for the touchdown that made it 38-7.

But there was plenty of skill — and a touch of surprise — from the Patriots.

Eight days after baffling  Baltimore with a four-man offensive linemen formation that drew a loud protest from Ravens coach John Harbaugh in the Patriots 35-31 divisional win, Belichick called a pass to left tackle Nate Solder, who was eligible, that resulted in a 16-yard touchdown that made it 24-7 with just under five minutes gone in the third quarter.

The Patriots kept rolling with touchdowns on each of their next three series — a 5-yard pass from Brady to Rob Gronkowski, and Blount’s runs of 13 and 2 yards.

“I am looking to build on the success of my previous album. This album represents the spiritual growth of Jah Cure as an artiste, a father, a husband, and a producer,” he said.

Jah Cure also plans to release a second single soon, to amp up interest in the album’s release. “The first single has over 20,000 views in two weeks, and fans can expect this second single soon. The demand for this album is phenomenal and the popularity of my recent singles shows that this project will do well,” he said.

Cure’s last album, World Cry, registered excellent sales world-wide, hitting the No.2 spot on the reggae iTunes chart in two countries and charting in the top five in several others. The album charted at No.2 in France, No.2 in the US, and No.3 in the UK on the reggae iTunes charts.

He will be one of the major headliners on International Night I on this year’s Reggae Sumfest concert in Montego Bay today.

“When I grace the stage, I will be singing my heart out for my fellow Montegonians and the fans across Jamaica and the world,” an elated Jah Cure said.

10 girls start sixth form at Cornwall College

MONTEGO BAY, St James — The official arrival of 10 young women to start grade 12 on Monday morning signalled a new chapter in the history of the 117-year-old Cornwall College.

The Montego Bay institution was admitting females as part of its student population for the first time, and is the third former all-boys’ school to admit girls after St George’s College several years ago and Munro College last week.It was not the first time that females were attending classes at Cornwall College, but it was the first time they were being registered officially as students of the school.The girls came from Montego Bay High, Mt Alvernia High, and all the way from William Knibb Memorial in Trelawny, Knox College in Clarendon, and Porus High in Manchester. Of these schools, only Montego Bay High does not have a sixth form programme.The history-makers are Priya Bassaragh, Karlisa Black, Shanelle Grizzle, Suedan Love, Kori Richards, Mickaylia Smith, Shanice Thompson, Tanice Williams, Nikolea Woolery, and Mauricia Whyte.In the past, female students from the nearby Mt Alvernia High and Montego Bay High attended classes at the institution, but were not in fact bona fide students, chairman of the school’s board of management Gerald Chambers told the Observer.Lorna Rampasard, vice-principal in charge of the upper school, said the young ladies had been through a very strict interview process after “nearly 200 students applied for the 60 places we had in 12th grade.”Rampasard said the school’s administration took a decision to increase the numbers to 71, the biggest 12th grade ever at the school, to accommodate the usual 60 boys plus the 10 girls.The minimum standard for entry into Cornwall’s programme is six passes with a minimum of three grade ones.The vice-principal said the girls were “waiting to challenge the boys on their own turf”.Shanice Thompson, who spoke on behalf of the girls, said she and her fellow history-makers intended to “shine like diamonds”.The girls were each presented with tie pins by Head Boy Kirk Jones after being given a rousing reception at the general assembly and then escorted to their classrooms through a guard of honour formed by male members of the 12th and 13th grades.The first batch of female students to officially attend Cornwall College pose in front of the Carlton Chin Sixth Form Block after they were officially welcomed at the Montego Bay institution.
