Taylor Swift celebrated her 25th birthday with Beyonc? and Jay-Z. The Blank Space hitmaker who reached the milestone last Friday, performed at New York City’s Jingle Ball the evening before carrying on the party at her apartment in Tribeca.

Alongside a photo of her posing with the Drunk In Love hitmakers, Justin Timberlake, Sam Smith, Karlie Kloss and girl band HAIM. She wrote: “So this is being 25 … #WHAT #bestbirthdayEVER. (sic)”

Taylor was also joined at the party by Emma Roberts, Ansel Elgort, Kelly Osbourne, Nick Jonas and Chrissy Teigen as well as best friend Selena Gomez.

The Come And Get It hitmaker later shared a snap of her newly manicured nails, which were decorated with two halves of a heart, each with a letter in: S and T.

Next to the image, the 22-year-old wrote: “I mean it’s my bff birthday weekend so … @taylorswift #NYC @sweetbcreations for doin me up (sic)”.

Meanwhile, Taylor previously admitted that it would take her “decades to recover” after Aretha Franklin, 72, sang Happy Birthday to her at

the Billboard Women in Music luncheon last Friday. Before sharing a video clip of the special serenade on Twitter, she tweeted: “Aretha Franklin just sang Happy Birthday to me and it will take me decades to recover. #goals (sic)”.

The inclement weather and several competing offerings did little to thwart the fans of popular entertainer Demarco from coming out in their droves to his inaugural birthday celebration recently.

Staged at the Lime Lite Entertainment Complex in Half-Way-Tree, the Magnum-sponsored event titled ‘Good Book’ was off to a good start around midnight as patrons steadily streamed into the well-decorated venue.

In front an almost packed house, Demarco made his grand entrance at approximately 3 a.m. decked in a checkered grey, black and white ensemble courtesy of high profile-designer Carlton Brown, with complementing embellishments from Rolex and Versace.

As the drinks flowed and the photo opportunities diminished the party was in full swing by 3:45 a.m. with popular disc jocks ZJ Liquid, Hotta Maestro, Richie Feelings, Barber Dee and CD Fantasy serving up a musical feast, keeping patrons thoroughly entertained until the wee hours of the morning. Several noted corporate and entertainment personalities also made the trek to show their support for the singer who has been having one of the best years of his career.

The much-publicised ‘Puppy Tail’ female dance contest was also another highlight of the night as contenders showed off their best moves, to the delight of the attentive judging audience. In the end, three young ladies walked away with a combined cash prize of over J$100,000.

The fun-filled night was capped by a spirited medley performance featuring Jah Vinci, Don Husky, Quick Cook and Demarco.

Demarco is currently riding high with a number of hits such as Good Book, Ride, Lazy Body, Bad Gyal Anthem, Puppy Tail, Stay In My Lane, Apartment and Put the Duppy Pon Yuh.

Belize police discover grenades, claim they were to disrupt “September celebration” events

BELMOPAN, Belize, Friday September 12, 2014, CMC – Police say they have recovered two grenades during a one week period and are appealing to the public to continue to provide information as to where others could be found.

“This is the second grenade that we’ve discovered within a week and we are working with the community with others who are embracing the campaign “Not in MY City” to recover more grenades of the streets,” Deputy Commander of the Eastern Division, Senior Superintendent Edward Broaster told reporters.

He said during the seizure, law enforcement authorities had also recovered a point 38 revolver.

“The area where we found this grenade is an empty lot, it’s overgrown and the grenade was found under some bushes near a fence,” the senior police officer added.

Bomb expert with the Belize Defence Force (BDF), Brigadier General David Jones, said the latest grenade found was a M2- US Army type “used by the US army some years before and I believe it is still in use”.

He said the police had originally indicated that the devise found on September 6 was a “British grenade” but the one found four days later was similar and hence his statement that both were US made.

The police have not released much information on the discovery, but have acknowledged questioning a number of people. No arrests have been made.

Police said intelligence indicates that the grenades were to be used to disrupt the “September celebration” events marking the Battle of St. George’s Cave Day and Independence Day on September 21.

PrinceLevy slated for Izan"s pre-album celebration

Emerging reggae-dancehall artistePrinceLevy will be performing alongside Marcia Griffiths and Everton Blender during the pre-album release celebration of new artiste Izan.

The event will be held at the Spin nightclub in San Diego, California

“I am looking forward to this event because it will give me an opportunity to do other radio promotions while I am over in California,” he said.

The event will be held on July 17.

The artiste, who resides in Spanish Town, St Catherine, has taken the island by storm since the start of the year by consistently releasing singles that has demonstrated his ability to deliver high-quality, high-impact reggae music.

Earlier this year, he topped local video chart, Hitlist, on CVM TV, with Take It Slow. The single also pierced the HYPE TV Top 20 singles chart, and received major rotation on local stations such as RE, SWAG and MD TV.

In the meantime, Prince Levy’s second video release, London Bridge, aka Ganja Hail, peaked #1 on CVM TV’s Hitlist, while being rotated on other stations such as RE TV.

“Now I am feeling more confident that people are getting to knowPrinceLevy, especially the ladies,” he said with a sheepish grin.

Fans of his music can loook out for new singles such as Deep Feeling, released to radio last month. Take It Slow is available on iTunes and his videos can be located on YoutTube.

“My social-media presence has also increased and I saw a recent spike in my Twitter and Instagram when Ganja Hail video was released,” he said.
