WHITEHOUSE, Westmoreland — SANDALS White House came from a goal down to score four times with three minutes to go and added time to beat 10-man Village United 4-1 in their rescheduled Jamaica Football Federation’s Charley’s JB Rum Western Confederation Super League game played at Whitehouse yesterday.
The game was Sandals Whitehouse’s fifth win in a row and pulled them alongside Savannah SC on points while it was the first loss of the season for Village United who slipped a place to fifth on goal difference behind Tomorrow’s People, both on nine points.
Village finished the game with 10 players after Donovan Clarke was sent off in time added on, in the second-half after he picked up his second yellow card of the game.
The game, which was rescheduled from the opening set of matches, was held up for 20 minutes in the second-half due to a nasty clash of heads between two players, both of whom had to seek further medical attention.
The league will continue on Sunday with five games — Tomorrow’s People vs Wadadah FC and Irwin High, Salt Marsh United vs Holland at Davis Pen, Montego Bay Boys Club against Beaches Negril at the UDC field, Village United vs Savannah SC at Elleston Wakeland Centre and Violet Kickers vs Granville at Green Pond High.
Yesterday, Alex Williams gave Village the lead in the 50th minute but Dane Spence levelled the scores, late, in the 87th minute.
