$1,300 tip in name of Jesus

College students at Indiana Wesleyan University have set the bar pretty high for tipping the pizza delivery guy.

Keith Newman, CEO of Residential Education, was leading the weekly prayer for a gathering of students on campus, when he decided to order $12.50 worth of pizza from Domino’s, reports Eater,

James Gilpin, the lucky pizza delivery man, was brought to the stage in the chapel when he arrived and given $1,268 in cash, $70 in gift cards, and hundreds of inspirational notes from the students.

Newman told the Indy Channel he was trying to illustrate the message behind doing for one what you wish you could do for everyone.

Gilpin said he was surprised by the generosity of the students, and said he has already been inspired by the student’s notes, reports the Indy Channel. He said he plans on using the money to help with Christmas for his 5-year-old and 6-year-old children.

“It’s nice to know that there’s a lot of encouragement from Indiana Wesleyan and their students to do something like that,” Gilpin said on Good Morning America

“It couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m very grateful for what they’ve done for me.”

Looks like extreme tipping is in.
